The Chartered Institute of Statisticians of Nigeria (CISON) strives to offer excellent services, including memberships, events, and training programs. Please review our refund policy carefully to understand how we handle refunds for various transactions.
1. Membership Fees
- Non-Refundable: All membership fees (including registration fees, annual dues, development levies, and any other related charges) are non-refundable. Once a payment has been processed, CISON will not issue refunds, regardless of membership status (e.g., resignation, termination, or revocation of membership).
- Exceptions may apply in cases of duplicate payments or technical errors during the payment process, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
2. Event and Conference Fees
- Refund Requests: Refunds for event or conference registration fees may be granted if the request is made in writing at least 30 days before the event.
- Partial Refunds: For cancellations made less than 30 days before an event, a partial refund (up to 50%) may be considered, depending on the circumstances and costs incurred by CISON.
- No Refunds for No-Shows: No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations made within 48 hours of the event, except in cases of medical emergencies or other extenuating circumstances.
3. Training Programs
- Refunds for Training Services: Refunds for training programs will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Requests for refunds must be submitted at least 5 days before the training begins. If a cancellation is made after this period, a partial refund (up to 50%) may be granted, depending on costs incurred.
- If CISON cancels or postpones a training session, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to apply the fees to future training sessions.
4. Duplicate Payments
In cases of duplicate payments, CISON will review the transaction and refund the excess amount within 14 working days. Please contact info@cison.org.ng for any refund requests related to duplicate or erroneous payments.
5. Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days from the date of the request, and funds will be returned using the original payment method. Please note that processing times may vary depending on the payment provider (e.g., bank, Paystack, etc.).
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us via email at info@cison.org.ng with the following details:
- Full Name
- Membership or Event ID
- Transaction details (date and payment method)
- Reason for refund request
Each refund request will be reviewed, and we will notify you of the outcome.
7. Changes to the Refund Policy
CISON reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time. Members and participants will be notified of any changes via email or through an announcement on our website if you have any questions related to refunds, cancellations, or membership exchanges.
